Completed Build Projects:
Compressed Earth Blocks
In 2012, Cleveland County Habitat for Humanity won a grant which is allowing us, and the School of Architecture at OU, to build a house made from Compressed Earth Blocks, CEBs. About 10,000 blocks have been made, so volunteers will be essential to the building the new home. This will allow us to build a greener, more environmentally-friendly home that literally anyone can build!
CCHFH ReStore
OU Habitat for Humanity also allocates our time as ReStore volunteers. The Habitat ReStore is a warehouse full of donated new and used building and home improvement materials, furniture, and appliances sold to the general public at affordable prices. ReStore profits help support the mission of Cleveland County Habitat for Humanity to provide decent, affordable housing for qualifying local families in need.
A secondary goal of the Habitat ReStore is to help communities by recycling new and used building materials. The Habitat ReStore diverts tons of usable materials from landfills while providing low-cost, quality building materials, furniture and appliances to homeowners, landlords, and businesses. Cleveland County Habitat for Humanity ReStore is located at: 1835 Industrial Boulevard, Norman, OK 73069 |
